    La presentazione ha avuto luogo nell’ambito del seminario di formazione ai Diritti umani organizzato dal Collegio Universitario Henry Dunant di Ginevra, per gli insegnanti della Regione Valle d’Aosta.

    Social forum 2012Social Forum 2012 (1-3 October), at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, saw New Humanity represented by three young experts: Maria Giovanna Pietropaolo, Davide Bilardi and Marco Provenzale; while, during the panel's discussion, before the conclusion of the event, “ Innovative approaches to development and globalization”.

    CINGO met Jurkovic 2Archibishop Ivan Jurkovic - new Apostolical Nuncio at the Pemanent Observatory of the Holy See at the United Nations in Geneva - already met with representatives from the Catholic Inspired NGOs Forum of Geneva (CINGO). Since the last month of January New Humanity helds the Presidency of the CINGO Forum and Mr. Marco Desalvo - President of New Humanity - and Mr. Jorge M. Dias Ferreira - main Representative in Geneva - both attended this meeting.

    Ferreira coordinator CINGOJorge M. Dias Ferreira, main representative of New Humanity in Geneva, reflected about the role of the Catholic Church at the United Nations in Geneva with the Youth Responsibles of the salesian IIMGA NGO. It has been the occasion to speak also about his persona experience to the 10 participants from Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, Philippines and Italy.
    "It was a totally positive meeting - reported Dr. Ferreira at the end of this meeting - I was really impressed by the quality of their listening, by their attentive participation and by their engagement. They are indeed daily facing so complicate concrete situations in their own Countries, mainly those from Latin America.

    Role of Non Governmental Organizations in Development On the occasion of the 20th Session of the UN Human Rights Council (6th June-6th July), on Friday 22nd June, in collaboration with the Catholic Inspired NGOs Forum based at the UN Headquarters in Geneva, New Humanity organized, at the Palais des Nations, the conference "The Role of Non-governmental Organizations in Development".

    In addition to the numerous attendees, Dr. Francesco Pizzorno, President of New Humanity, and Dr. Jorge M. Dias Ferreira, its chief representative in Geneva were also present.

    The last 28th of October, Mr. Jorge M. Dias Ferreira - the main Representative of New Humanity in Geneva intervened during the "Cafe Wisdom of Humanity". This was an interreligious event entitled "Ecology and Spirituality: A New Alliance?" and organised by the Root and Sources Foundation and by the Institute of the Arab and Mediterranean Cultures.

    Qualità educazione1The round table organized by the "NGO Platform for the Right to Education" - for the XX Session of the UN Human Rights Council - would have been incomplete without the contribution of Mr. Jorge Ferreira, the Main representative of New Humanity in Geneva and an expert of the Educational and Developing fields.
    "Quality of education: multiple challenges?" was the event's title.

  • Geneva: N.H. chairs the side event on the "Right to Development and the Post-2015 Agenda"

    Ginevra- Right to Dev. and post 2015 agendaDr. Jorge M. Dias Ferreira, New Humanity's Main representative in Geneva,  chaired the side event to the  24th regular session of the UN Human Rights Council  entitled: "Right to Development and the Post-2015 Agenda".
    The event took place on 13th  September in  conference room XXVII of the Palais des Nations and was organized  jointly by New Humanity and Associazione Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII (APG23), Caritas Internationalisand Dominicans for Justice and Peace (Order of preachers).

H. is a member of it) and by the Centre Catholique d'Etudes de Géneve and benefited of a question/ intervention of Mr. Jorge Ferreira New Humanity's Main representant in Geneva.

    The family source of strength and security for today social challengesThe most important 2014 event which has been organised this year by the Forum of Catholic Inspired NGOs in Geneva (CINGO) took place on 24th November to the Palais des Nations.

  • Geneva: New Humanity Get Ready together with the CINGO Forum in Geneva to the Human Rights Council's Regular Session

    CINGO si prepara a CHRJorge M. Dias Ferreira, the main Representative of New Humanity in Geneva, actively participated as usual to the monthly meeting of the Catholic Inspired NGOs (CINGO) Forum in Geneva.
    In order to prepare the CINGO position for the next Session of the Human Rights Council, at the end of this meeting, New Humanity and the pther Organisation composing the CINGO Forum stated the need to relaunch the Right to Education.

    CINGO Forum was born in 2007 with the aim to find and to present new solutions to the present challenges for the humanity and to promote an integral vision of the human being, his dignity, the common good, subsidiarity and solidarity.

  • Geneva: New Humanity Meets the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Education

    dott Singh e Gutierrez - Geneve, 19 giugno 2015On the 19 th of June, New Humanity met - together with other NGOs - Mr Kishore Singh, Special Rapporteur on the Right to Education. Mr Jorge M. Dias Ferreira, the main Representative of New Humanity in Geneva, presented an analysis about the Mr Singh's last Reports. It have been also presented a Written Statement prepared by Mr Juan Garcia Gutierrez. He is in the photo with Mr Singh and he is the Additional Representative of New Humanity and Professor at the School of Education of the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), Madrid.

  • Geneva: New Humanity recommends approval of the Human Rights Declaration on Right to Peace

    New Humanity's commitment towards approval of A/RHC/RES/32/28

    joint letter Right to peaceAssociazione Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII, IADL, the Japanese Committee for the Human Right to Peace and UNOY have signed a letter to the Ambassadors for the UN Delegations in New York, reccommending to vote favorably on the Human Rights Declaration on the Right to Peace (A/RHC/RES/32/28) that should be adopted in the Third Committee of the ongoing 71th General Assembly.
    Jorge M. Dias Ferreira - the main representative of New Humanity at the UN in Geneva - signed this letter as well.
    The resolution would follow upon the Declaration for the Right of Peace that was approved last July 1st by the UN Council of Human Rights in Geneva.

     Presentation of OIDEL Education Index"Our contemporary world is more and more dominated by technology and robotic. Consequently, Education should promote more than ever the development of the human and ethic values among the youth".
    This is the most important part of the short intervention delivered by dr Jorge M. Dias Ferreira of New Humanity during this important conference. The event has been promoted by OIDEL and Novae Terrae NGOs. It had an audience of more than 80 people, including representative of diplomatic missions, international organisations and NGO.

    Jorge M. Dias Ferreira - the main representative of New Humanity in Geneva - served as General Moderator for this Special Event.
    «All the participants - stated Mr Ferreira at the end of the day - put on evidence a unanimous appreciation for the Pope and for his Encyclical Letter and an important aknowledgement for the activities promoted by the Catholic-inspired NGOs».
