    Declaration Reinventing PeaceThe final declaration on "Reinventing Peace" is now online. The declaration is the final outcome of the event organised by New Humanity to to mark the twentieth anniversary of the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education awarded to Chiara Lubich in 1996. This event has been organised the 15 November 2016 at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

  • Geneva: CINGO joins the Ecumenical Prayer for Peace in Syria

    Holy Mass for Peace, on the occasion of  Ecumenical Prayer between the Pope and Lutherans in Sweden

    Invitation Messe pour la Syrie 1On the 31st of October, Pope Francis joined many people from all over the world in order to celebrate the ecumenical developments between the Catholic and Lutheran churches. The event has been held between Lund and Malmö, in southern Sweden and the main topic has been "Together in hope".
    In order to support this initiative, the Forum of the Catholic Inspired NGOs in Geneva (CINGO) and the Catholic center of Studies of Geneva organized a Mass at the Cathedral of Geneva. The event has been the occasion to especially pray for peace in Syria. It has been celebrated by HE Mons. Ivan Jurkovic, Apostolic Nuncio at the Permanent Observatory of the Holy See at the UN in Geneva.

  • Geneva: New Humanity recommends approval of the Human Rights Declaration on Right to Peace

    New Humanity's commitment towards approval of A/RHC/RES/32/28

    joint letter Right to peaceAssociazione Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII, IADL, the Japanese Committee for the Human Right to Peace and UNOY have signed a letter to the Ambassadors for the UN Delegations in New York, reccommending to vote favorably on the Human Rights Declaration on the Right to Peace (A/RHC/RES/32/28) that should be adopted in the Third Committee of the ongoing 71th General Assembly.
    Jorge M. Dias Ferreira - the main representative of New Humanity at the UN in Geneva - signed this letter as well.
    The resolution would follow upon the Declaration for the Right of Peace that was approved last July 1st by the UN Council of Human Rights in Geneva.

  • Hombre Mundo Laboratories

    Cantieri Hombre Mundo50 fraternity labs were held during the month of July in various cities of Eastern Europe, Middle East, Central and South America and one in Africa, too.

    The young people deepened the theme of communication starting from the labs’ title: Head Hands Hearts.

  • HOST SPOT Project, Phase 1: Volunteering in Jordanian Refugee Camps

    55 young people joined from various European and Middle Eastern countries for the first phase of the project "Host Spot", which took place at the refugee welcoming center in Madaba (Jordan), in Jerusalem and in the Palestinian territories.

  • HOST SPOT Project, Phase 2: Acquiring the communication tools

    HOST SPOT Germany12 – 17 March 2017

    Bad Urach, Germany

    18 young people from 5 European and Middle Eastern countries met in Bad Urach, Germany, from 12 to 17 March, for the 2nd phase of the project Host Spot, promoted by New Humanity and Erasmus+, together with other associations, and co-financed by the Erasmus+ (EU) program.
    Objective of the meeting: to develop in the young people some technical skills in the field of communication and production of documentaries with a social purpose.

  • HOST SPOT Project: The videos produced by the young people during the project

    HOST SPOT VideoOne of the main objectives of the HOST SPOT project was to provide the young people who participated with competitive and know-how skills in the production of documentaries with a social content. They learned how to record personal experiences and stories of immigrants and the refugees’ daily life in the camps, and raise public awareness on a wider range of options in dealing with immigrants and refugees.

  • Querétaro: Two Young People of New Humanity attend the 6th Forum of NGOs in Partnership with UNESCO

    NH Messico 5 revisedNancy Avila and Abraham Arzola, two Youth for a United World – the youth branch of New Humanity – represented this NGO at the 6th international forum of NGOs in official partnership with UNESCO.  The forum's theme was “From promotion to construction of peace with NGOs”.

    In front of representatives of 50 NGOs, the two Mexican youths presented the various activities that Youth for a United World spearheads worldwide for the promotion of peace.

  • UNESCO's International Sports Day Celebrations in Nairobi with Children and Young People

    UNESCOs International Sports Day Celebrations“This was a good one!” commented the Master of Ceremony. It was almost at the end of the International Sports Day for Peace and Development in Nairobi. A young man from Marsabit in Northern Kenya, Johnston Duba – part of the delegation of New Humanity – had just shared how he used sports to promote peace among conflicting ethic communities in his region.
