Geneva: New Humanity recommends approval of the Human Rights Declaration on Right to Peace

New Humanity's commitment towards approval of A/RHC/RES/32/28

joint letter Right to peaceAssociazione Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII, IADL, the Japanese Committee for the Human Right to Peace and UNOY have signed a letter to the Ambassadors for the UN Delegations in New York, reccommending to vote favorably on the Human Rights Declaration on the Right to Peace (A/RHC/RES/32/28) that should be adopted in the Third Committee of the ongoing 71th General Assembly.
Jorge M. Dias Ferreira - the main representative of New Humanity at the UN in Geneva - signed this letter as well.
The resolution would follow upon the Declaration for the Right of Peace that was approved last July 1st by the UN Council of Human Rights in Geneva.

Geneva: Dr. Ferreira about the Role of the Catholic Church at the UN

Intervention During the Meeting of the Youth Responsibles of IIMGA NGO

Geneva, 18 June 2016, 14h30' – 16h30'

Ferreira coordinator CINGOJorge M. Dias Ferreira, main representative of New Humanity in Geneva, reflected about the role of the Catholic Church at the United Nations in Geneva with the Youth Responsibles of the salesian IIMGA NGO. It has been the occasion to speak also about his persona experience to the 10 participants from Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, Philippines and Italy.
"It was a totally positive meeting - reported Dr. Ferreira at the end of this meeting - I was really impressed by the quality of their listening, by their attentive participation and by their engagement. They are indeed daily facing so complicate concrete situations in their own Countries, mainly those from Latin America.

Geneva: N.H. set 3 priorities for the 32nd Human Rights Council

1) Migrants, 2) Right to Solidarity, 3) Right to Development

32nd Oridnary Session of the UN Human Rights Council, 13 June- 1 July 2016

Declarations at the 32 council of Human RightsNew Humanity and the other catholic inspired NGOs in Geneva (CINGO) presented on several occasions their priorities during the current Ordinary Session of the Human Rights Council. They signed a jointly Statement "Towards a Right for International Solidarity" and a Statement in order to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development.

Moreover, H.E. Archibishop Ivan Jurkovic, Permanent Representative of the Holy See in Geneva, presented an Oral Statement about Migrants.

CINGO met Jurkovic 2Archibishop Ivan Jurkovic - new Apostolical Nuncio at the Pemanent Observatory of the Holy See at the United Nations in Geneva - already met with representatives from the Catholic Inspired NGOs Forum of Geneva (CINGO). Since the last month of January New Humanity helds the Presidency of the CINGO Forum and Mr. Marco Desalvo - President of New Humanity - and Mr. Jorge M. Dias Ferreira - main Representative in Geneva - both attended this meeting.
