7 - 19 August 2016
They come from Jourdan, Ireland, Hungary, Spain, Italy, Palestine, Germany and Turkey the 53 youg people which started yesterday their adventure whith the "Host Spot" Project. The initiative is organised by Caritas Jordan, New Humanity and other 7 organisations at the refugee camp of Madaba (Jordan) and is co-financed by the Erasmus+ Programme.
There are many Young people from New Humanity participating into this project. Mr Marco Desalvo, President of New Humanity, is attending as well.
The title of the project wants to underline the idea of hospitality istead of the negative image often provided by the medias about the migratory issue. At this purpose, a video-documentary will be realised as well. It will be the occasion to present the dialogue and reciprocity as possible solutions to the conflicts and to present personal histories and the daily lives of refugees, in order to provide to the public opinion a more wide knowledge of the migratory issue and to sensibilise an engage them.
After this first phase in Jordan, the Project will continue through two Educational Courses in Turkey (October 2016) and in Germany (March 2017).
"I am leaving to Jordan with the goal to give myself to these people who lost everything. I would like to give them some hope". "I would like to discover and to concretely help these needy people and I know that I will learn aslo a lot and it will be an amazing experience". "I am sure that with some details, we can build a better world". These are some of the impressions of some of the young people involved, before leaving to Jordan.
