As we prepare to <\/span>promote worldwide awareness for <\/span>World Food Day 2024<\/span><\/b><\/a>, we reflect on our participation in the seminar <\/span>\u201cThe Right to Food: Between Deprivation and Waste \u2013 It\u2019s Time to Act,\u201d<\/span><\/b> held on October 10, 2024, at the FAO headquarters in Rome. Organized by the <\/span>Permanent Mission of the Holy See<\/span><\/b> and the <\/span>Roma Forum of Catholic-Inspired NGOs<\/span><\/b>, the event addressed the deep contradictions within our global food system\u2014millions of people suffer from hunger, while vast amounts of food are wasted.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar provided a platform for participants to discuss strategies to ensure fair and sustainable access to food for all. <\/span>New Humanity<\/span><\/b> had the opportunity to share several concrete experiences from our <\/span>Zero Hunger<\/span><\/b> initiative, highlighting the diverse projects we\u2019ve implemented across the globe to address food security, sustainability, and environmental protection.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

During the seminar and inspired by our partnership with FAO and a previous joint publication like the <\/span>Activity Book with Good Practices of Teens of the \u201cZero Hunger Generation\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/a>, we took the floor to share the most recent collection of positive actions by young people and organizations from various countries contributing to the goal of <\/span>Zero Hunger<\/span><\/b>:<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
