This contribution was prepared by New Humanity\u2019s Geneva office, reflecting its active involvement in UN processes and its strong commitment to promoting human rights and human dignity across various fields.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"438\" data-end=\"1156\">The proposal urges States and the Working Group to adopt a Family-Centered Human Rights-Based Approach to early childhood care and education (ECCE). This approach seeks to ensure that children\u2019s rights are fully respected and promoted from birth, recognizing the family as the primary environment for care and development. Ultimately, the goal is to guarantee every child a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where they can reach their full potential.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"487\" data-end=\"1376\">New Humanity\u2019s proposal calls for a shift in how ECCE is designed and implemented:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"2428\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"1684\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1484\" data-end=\"1684\"><strong data-start=\"1484\" data-end=\"1526\">Family-Centered Human Rights Approach:<\/strong> Recognize the family as essential for the child\u2019s growth and autonomy, placing families at the center of policies and practices related to early childhood.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1685\" data-end=\"1942\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1687\" data-end=\"1942\"><strong data-start=\"1687\" data-end=\"1716\">Pluralistic ECCE Options:<\/strong> Offer families different ways to access ECCE depending on their circumstances \u2014 whether children attend state institutions, non-state schools, or stay at home. All schools and care settings must be safe spaces for children.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1943\" data-end=\"2157\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1945\" data-end=\"2157\"><strong data-start=\"1945\" data-end=\"1999\">Focus on Early Learning and Professional Training:<\/strong> Support learning from birth and even during the prenatal period, while ensuring that professionals in ECCE receive thorough ethical and technical training.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"2158\" data-end=\"2428\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2160\" data-end=\"2428\"><strong data-start=\"2160\" data-end=\"2211\">Care and Protection from Emerging Technologies:<\/strong> Address the impact of new technologies like artificial intelligence and digital devices on children\u2019s development, and propose that part of the profits from technology companies be allocated to finance ECCE programs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2430\" data-end=\"2940\">By centering the family and respecting diverse care arrangements, this approach aims to uphold children\u2019s rights in the most comprehensive and inclusive way possible.
