This amendment was jointly proposed by Italy, the Philippines, Spain, Egypt, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Angola, Azerbaijan, Mozambique, Liberia, Jordan, Djibouti, Serbia, and Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>The amendment promotes intercultural and interreligious dialogue and understanding, as well as gender-based resilience and disability inclusion. It builds upon the <strong>UNESCO Roadmap against Racism and Discrimination<\/strong> and thus aims to further advance the realization of the <strong>Universal Declaration of Human Rights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>final adoption<\/strong> of the amendment is expected to take place during the <strong>43rd session of the General Conference<\/strong>, which will be held in Samarkand in <strong>November 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>New Humanity NGO, together with its partners, has long advocated for the recognition of <em>interreligious dialogue<\/em> as a vital means of fostering peace and unity among peoples, nurturing \u201ca spirit of brotherhood\u201d (UDHR, Art. 1), and upholding the inherent dignity of every human being.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Humanity NGO Welcomes the Reintroduction of \u2018Interreligious Dialogue\u2019 into UNESCO\u2019s Programme UNESCO, Paris \u2014 New Humanity NGO warmly welcomes the first step toward the reintroduction of the term and practice of interreligious dialogue into UNESCO\u2019s official programme.
