The statements were co-signed by several Catholic-Inspired NGOs such as Edmund Rice International, IIMA, VIDES Internazionale, and Communit\u00e0 Papa Giovanni XXIII.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The statements were composed in response to the annual reports presented to the Human Rights Council by UN independent experts. The reports focused on the themes of <strong>t<\/strong><\/span><b>he promotion of a democratic and equitable order<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <strong>the<\/strong><\/span><b> care of older persons.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the presentation of each report, NGOs with UN Consultative Status are given the opportunity to provide feedback, underscore certain points, or pose questions to the independent expert during sessions called Interactive Dialogues (ID).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These moments are essential before each report becomes more widely distributed, and eventually, put into action.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the Interactive Dialogue on <\/span>the promotion of a democratic and equitable international order<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Jorge Dias Ferreira <a href=\"https:\/\/www.new-humanity.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/20260909_-interactive-dialogue-with-the-Independent-Expert-on-the-promotion-of-a-democratic-and-equitable-international-order-Oral-statement-New.mp4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delivered<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0a statement<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on behalf of New Humanity and the co-signing NGOs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the occasion of the Interactive Dialogue on the c<\/span>are of older persons<b>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Humanity sent the joint statement to the<\/span><b> Secretariat of the Human Rights Council.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A brief summary of each statement can be found below:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Joint Statement on the Promotion of a Democratic and Equitable International Order<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The statement called for:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not simply more centers of power but also a new relationship among these centers of power \u2013 within this new international order \u2013 founded on reciprocity, mutual listening, and dialogue.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The statement was co-signed by Vides Internazionale, Edmund Rice International, IIMA, and Communit\u00e0 Papa Giovanni XXIII.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quote: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cHumanity needs not only a new balance of power, but also a new quality of relationships.
