Por este motivo <strong>difunde la idea de un mundo unido<\/strong> y promueve el <strong>esp\u00edritu de fraternidad universal<\/strong> proclamado en la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/es\/universal-declaration-human-rights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Declaraci\u00f3n Universal de los Derechos del Hombre<\/a> (art\u00edculo n.1 ), en todos los \u00e1mbitos y niveles de la sociedad.<\/p>\n<p>New Humanity cuenta con una <strong>s\u00f3lida base de voluntariado<\/strong> y un importante <strong>compromiso juvenil<\/strong>. Sostiene y promueve numerosos <strong>proyectos sociales y educativos<\/strong>; implementa <strong>iniciativas econ\u00f3micas<\/strong> que combinan la dimensi\u00f3n local e internacional y es vocero de experiencias y buenas pr\u00e1cticas.<\/p>\n<p>En <strong>1987<\/strong> New Humanity obtuvo el reconocimiento de <strong>Status Consultivo Especial<\/strong> en el Consejo Econ\u00f3mico y Social (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/ecosoc\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ECOSOC<\/a><\/strong>) de la Organizaci\u00f3n de las <strong>Naciones Unidas<\/strong> (ONU), y desde el 2005 posee <strong>Status Consultivo General<\/strong>. A partir del <strong>2008<\/strong> fue reconocida como ONG miembro de <a href=\"https:\/\/es.unesco.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>UNESCO<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>New Humanity tiene su <strong>sede central en Roma<\/strong> y Representaciones en <strong>Nueva York, Ginebra, Par\u00eds, Bruselas y Nairobi<\/strong>. Tiene convenios con diversas organizaciones y colabora con organismos especializados en \u00e1mbitos espec\u00edficos.\u00a0<strong>Adhiere a importantes redes<\/strong>, tales como el Forum de las ONG de inspiraci\u00f3n cat\u00f3lica en Ginebra (CINGO) y el Comit\u00e9 de Coordinaci\u00f3n ONG-UNESCO.<\/p>\n<p>Junto al Movimiento <strong>J\u00f3venes por un Mundo Unido<\/strong> (su rama juvenil) y al <strong>Movimiento Internacional Humanidad Nueva<\/strong> (red de ciudadan\u00eda activa), New Humanity promueve el Proyecto Mondo Unido (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unitedworldproject.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>United World Project<\/strong><\/a>), una iniciativa dirigida a difundir y promover el ideal de la fraternidad universal en todos los \u00e1mbitos de la sociedad.<\/p>\n<p>Los principios e iniciativas de New Humanity se basan en el esp\u00edritu y los valores que animan el <strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.focolare.org\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Movimiento de los Focolares<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 New Humanity es, de hecho, una de las expresiones del Movimiento de los Focolares, fundado en 1943 en Trento (Italia) por <a href=\"https:\/\/centrochiaralubich.org\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Chiara Lubich<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chiara Lubich fue galardonada con el Premio UNESCO por la Paz y la Educaci\u00f3n (1996) y con el Premio por los Derechos Humanos del Consejo de Europa (1998). Los miembros del Movimiento de los Focolares se encuentran en 182 pa\u00edses y pertenecen a diferentes culturas, religiones, etnias y tradiciones.<\/p>\n<p>Se comprometen a establecer, entre personas,\u00a0 grupos sociales,\u00a0 pueblos e instituciones, relaciones basadas en el respeto mutuo, en el di\u00e1logo y en distintos modos de colaboraci\u00f3n activa, con una visi\u00f3n de la vida civil y pol\u00edtica inspirada en la fraternidad universal (<em>principio incluido en el art. 1 de la Declaraci\u00f3n Universal de los Derechos del Hombre<\/em>).
