2. Place of data processing

Processing connected with the web services of this website takes place at the above-mentioned office and is carried out only by technical personnel appointed by the Data Controller, or by persons entrusted with occasional maintenance operations, under the direct authority of the Data Controller.

No data arising from the web service are communicated or disseminated.

Personal data provided by users who request information materials (answers to questions, newsletters, notifications, etc.) are used solely to respond to the request and are communicated to third parties only where necessary for that purpose to comply with legal obligations.

3. Types of data processed

We process two types of data: browsing data that we collect automatically and data provided by the user.

Specifically:

3.1 Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, in the course of their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This information is not collected to be associated with identified individuals, but by its very nature could allow users to be identified through processing and association with data held by third parties.

This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response from the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computer environment.

These data are used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information on use of the website and to check that it works correctly, and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to establish liability in the event of possible computer crimes against the website: except in this event, data on web contacts are currently retained for no more than seven days.

3.2 Data voluntarily provided by the user

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of email to the addresses indicated on this website entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, which is necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message. Specific summary notices will progressively be provided or displayed on the pages of the website intended for particular services available on request.

5. Data retention period

Except for data voluntarily provided by the user for specific services, for which specific notices will be supplied, browsing information will be retained for a maximum of fourteen months after collection, unless it must be used to establish liability in the event of computer crimes against the website. In that case, the information will be kept available to the authorities for as long as necessary to allow Associazione Internazionale New Humanity ETS to exercise its rights of defence.

6. Purposes and legal basis of processing

Apart from what is specified for browsing data, users are free to provide the personal data requested in the enquiry forms on this website or otherwise indicated in their contacts with its various representatives to request information materials or other items. Processing takes place partly on dedicated servers owned by Associazione Internazionale New Humanity ETS or, where appropriate, on another trusted server. In the latter case, under a specific contract, Associazione Internazionale New Humanity ETS nevertheless has exclusive legal control over the server or servers used, without communicating any data to the service provider, which in any event remains contractually bound to Associazione Internazionale New Humanity ETS to adopt appropriate and up-to-date security and protection measures, both physical and logical, on the servers used by New Humanity.

Data processing also takes place using computer and telecommunication systems at the premises of Associazione Internazionale New Humanity ETS or, in any event, using computer equipment owned by the Association or, where necessary, by persons authorised to process data, in compliance with the security measures required by current legislation and, in all cases, those prescribed by the Data Controller.

Data may also be processed using non-electronic tools, including paper media.

7.2 Processing operations

Processing operations may consist of one or more operations involving the collection, recording, organisation, storage, consultation, processing, alteration, selection, retrieval, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication (as specified in the subsequent paragraph 4.3), erasure and destruction of data, regardless of whether they are recorded in a database.

7.3 Communication of data

Personal data collected by Associazione Internazionale New Humanity ETS, or of which it becomes aware in the course of its activities, may be communicated to (or become known to) persons authorised to process data and/or data processors, according to their specific responsibilities and functions, in order to fulfil the above purposes or meet regulatory and/or contractual requirements.

As a rule, data are not communicated or made known to other data controllers unless this becomes necessary to comply with regulatory or contractual provisions or to fulfil specific obligations. In such cases, these data may, in particular, be made known to the following persons or categories of persons, to the extent necessary to fulfil regulatory and/or contractual obligations: a) internal and/or external consultants or collaborators, for compliance with current legislation and/or performance of contractual services in dealings with individual data subjects (employment consultants, legal advisers, accountants, tax advisers and auditors); b) the Focolare Movement (P.A.F.O.M.) 7.4 Dissemination of data

In any event, personal data will not be disseminated unless expressly requested by the data subject, including, where applicable, in performance of specific contractual provisions agreed with that data subject. In such cases, dissemination will remain within the limits of the data subject’s request or the contractual agreements entered into.

However, website browsing data alone may be disseminated, but only in an aggregated and anonymous form, for the purpose of producing statistics on visits to the website www.new-humanity.org, owned by Associazione Internazionale New Humanity ETS, or to parts of it.

7.5 Browsing data

(iv) to request that processing be restricted to part of the information concerning them;

(v) to have information concerning them transmitted to them or to third parties they designate (“data portability”);

(vi) to object to processing on legitimate grounds;

(vii) to withdraw their consent at any time by submitting a written request, without formalities, to Associazione Internazionale New Humanity ETS using the contact details provided.

Associazione Internazionale New Humanity ETS reminds users that, if the response to their requests is not considered satisfactory, they may contact and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) in the manner provided for by the Applicable Legislation.
