Community Shapers Wanted: Volunteer for the United World Project

9.09.2025

Tired of endless online noise that never changes anything? Here’s your chance to do something that actually matters — and fits you. The United World Project (UWP) by New Humanity NGO of the Focolare Movement is launching its largest global call for volunteers yet. It’s not a “one-size-fits-all” pitch: we’ve designed a wide range of roles so that you can find the one that best matches your skills, time, and expectations. Whether you’ve got decades of experience, or just a curious mind and a few spare hours, there’s a place for you. From October 2025 to August 2026, you can join an international network of activists, thinkers, and doers, all working (fully online) to build bridges across cultures, traditions, and communities — with the shared goal of a more united, fraternal, and peaceful world.

What’s this all about?

The United World Project (UWP) is a global Programme that inspires, involves, and connects people who believe a united world is not a utopia, but a work-in-progress.

  • The United World Communities are 8 thematic hubs (from economy and dialogue to ecology, arts, peace, and education), where experts, students, and volunteers collaborate on concrete initiatives.
  • The United World Week is our flagship annual event that mobilizes thousands worldwide, both online and on the ground, in a global showcase of ideas, campaigns, and actions for unity.
  • New Humanity, the NGO behind UWP, has ECOSOC consultative status at the UN and works internationally to promote dialogue, human rights, sustainable development, and peace education.

This is not about vague slogans — it’s about genuine collaboration across borders.
