#ChooseToDialogue – United World Week 2026

8.05.2026

Organized by the United World Project, a programme of the New Humanity NGO, and promoted by the Focolare Movement.

Closing the Week, Continuing the Journey

From May 1st to 7th, we have been celebrating the United World Week (UWW) 2026. This global initiative serves as a gathering to show how fraternity is lived across our territories. Through shared experiences and concrete actions, we witness that a united world is truly possible.

This year’s theme, #ChooseToDialogue, invites us to rediscover dialogue as a concrete path to peace—a daily choice of listening and collaboration. Throughout the week, we have lived each initiative with a special intention: to be close to those who are suffering or going through difficult times, ensuring no one is left alone.

A 7-Day Journey of Dialogue

Each day focused on a different aspect of personal and collective life, inspired by the United World Communities:

  • May 1 – Interculture & Dialogue: Building bridges between cultures.
  • May 2 – Art & Social Commitment: Beauty as a tool for change.
  • May 3 – Health, Sport & Ecology: Care for the person and the planet.
  • May 4 – Economy & Work + Education & Research: Humanizing our systems.
  • May 5 – Media & Communication: Dialogue in the digital age.
  • May 6 – Active Citizenship & Politics: Serving the common good.
  • May 7 – Peace & Human Rights: Our shared commitment to humanity.
