The MilONGa Project (the title is the Spanish acronym for “one thousand NGOs in action”) is aimed at offering young people aged 18+ the opportunity to strengthen their positions as protagonists of the sites of social development in the outskirts of the world. This initiative is promoted in cooperation with the Focolare Movement and as part of the dialogue with other local humanitarian organizations, respecting diversity and aiming at building an inclusive fraternal culture. The project starts in Latin America and in the Caribbean and lasts between 1 and 6 months.

Candidates we are looking for

Dynamic and trustworthy young people convinced to dedicate some months of their lives to the volunteering to the benefit of those most in need. But most importantly, we are looking for young people truly eager to commit to change the world.

The Project

“Milonga” is the new project for international exchange promoted by New Humanity International NGO. It is aimed at young students, newly high school graduates and the unemployed ones who want to live an experience of social commitment and fraternity promotion abroad.

Currently “Milonga” offers 12 destinations all over South America (new destinations in other continents are coming soon!). There one can live a volunteering experience which can last from three to twelve months, get involved in informal team building and networking activities, get in touch with other participants, enjoy cultural visits and trips, take part in international events and have some fun.

How to participate

  1. Check the list of the destinations for the project and pick up those which better meet your expectations.
  2. Sign up at the project site. We will get in touch with you soon for a preliminary interview to evaluate your aptness and your motivation.
  3. Take part in a short preparatory programme to get ready for the trip.
